Dr. DeSimone is a doctor of internal medicine, often times referred to as a primary care physician, who has been practicing medicine for over 15 years. He attended Georgetown University and completed his medical degree in Richmond. Dr. DeSimone completed a portion of his residency training at Georgetown and the rest at the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
During the course of his practice, Dr. DeSimone has spent a considerable amount of time active in hospice care, with his most recent term as Medical Director of Hospice of the Rapidan.
Along with seeing his regular patients, Dr. DeSimone is one of 130 doctors in the immediate Fredricksburg/Stafford licensed to prescribe Suboxone, a very effective drug used to treat opioid addiction and in some cases, pain. For more information about this program, click here.
